ABOUT ME # I was born in 1971 and grew
up in Bristol. In 1989 I came to London and began studying for a degree
in European Business Management. In 1993 I graduated, knowing that I didn't
wish to pursue a career in the corporate world, but unsure of what I did
want to do work-wise. I spent many years feeling very disheartened, not
finding the career to suit my nature. In 1999 I discovered self-development
books and by 2003 I had a strong feeling that I wanted to reach out to others
to offer them my support as they help themselves in their own personal growth
quests.
In January 2004 I began training at the CCPE, the Centre for Counselling
and Psychotherapy Education, in London. I have been working in the counselling
field since October 2004, working one-to-one with clients in a drop-in
centre, a medical surgery and a counselling centre. I have a certificate
in the Fundamentals of Counselling and Psychotherapy, from the CCPE. And
I'm due to complete the post-graduate diploma course in Counselling and
Psychotherapy at the end of 2008.
I am a member of the BACP, the British Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy.
